Becoming a Client
Our approach to fees reflects the long-term relationship that we expect to have with our clients. Where possible we try to avoid large upfront fees, preferring to charge on an ongoing basis for the funds we manage on your behalf. This aligns our incentives with your long term financial goals, what's good for you is good for us.
Wrap Account Set Up
To get you set up on our system, we are required to go through a detailed fact find process that includes gathering information about your personal situation, your financial aspirations and your attitude to risk. Following this we design a financial solution for you that represents a solid foundation for the achievement of your goals.
We are able to facilitate the transfer of existing pension benefits to the platform to allow for you to combine any number of existing schemes into one. Westbury is authorised to carry out transfers from both defined contribution and defined benefit schemes.
Westbury is set up to minimise initial fees. We prefer instead to charge our clients an ongoing fee to cover the servicing of their investments over time. This fee will always be taken from assets held on the platform and is charged alongside fees charged by the platform and the active fund managers we choose to invest with. We provide a detailed costs breakdown to all interested parties prior to them becoming clients.
Westbury does not advertise, nor do we actively seek new clients. Our client base has evolved over many years, either by personal recommendation or from active membership of a group pension scheme that we have administered.
Although we would "never say never" to a new client, it is of paramount importance to us that we do not reduce the time that we spend on our existing clients by taking on too much new work.
